Residents searching for well-known stray dog, Wolfie
RESIDENTS who fed a stray dog are worried after it went missing following fireworks night.

The dog, nicknamed Wolfie, is believed to have been one of 60 dogs who belonged to former millionaire Tracey Thier who received an ASBO for allowing the dogs to attack people, roam the streets and cause road accidents.

The German shepherd was often seen near the railway line between the train stations at Sydenham and Crystal Palace, however, since November 7 it has not been seen.

Around 10 residents had been feeding the dog for the last 10 months including Michael Freyone of Thicket Road, Anerley.

Mr Freyone said: “I have been out looking, driving around and talking to people but no-one has seen her.

“She is certainly quite a character around here and I’ve become really attached to her.

The 46-year-old added: “She is timid and extremely nervous around people, particularly women, but in the end she was getting really close to me.”

Mr Freyone said he believes Wolfie got away when authorities came to rescue the dogs from the mansion in July 2007.

The publisher said: “She is a healthy dog and she would make a good family pet, I would take her at the drop of a hat but live in a flat.”

The residents have contacted various animals charities, Network Rail and Bromley Council, but have had no luck.

Gill Wing, also of Thicket Road, Anerley, said: “She looks a little like a wolf and is around two years old.

“We are concerned that, having taken so many months to build up trust enough to be fed, she will starve.”

There were also 20 horses being neglected by Thier at the Beltwood House mansion in Dulwich.

Thier’s ASBO, granted in August 2007, banned her from keeping animals in the UK.

However, she ignored this and kept five dogs at another property.

She was due to be sentenced in March 2008 for breaching the order but days before she fled to America.

Costs of £54,000 were awarded to Southwark Council, which Their refused to pay and as a result her house was repossessed Anyone with information about Wolfie should call Bromley Council's missing dogs hotline on 0844 482 8337.
